Flourish was appointed by the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS) in 2015 to develop & implement a year long marketing and PR strategy for Festival of Architecture 2016 (FOA2016).


Working with VisitScotland, Creative Scotland & RIAS we built an integrated strategy that targeted the broadest possible audiences to attend hundreds of events through the festival year. With very limited budget, at the heart of the strategy sits partnership marketing–both with all the individual festival partners (over 100 organisations) & with Scotland’s key tourism organisations at a national & regional level.


Over 850,000 people attended festival events, over 800 pieces of media coverage were generated & nearly 10,000 people followed the festival social media channels– all exceeding agreed KPIs for FOA2016.
